Darjeeling Tea

Known as the Champagne of Teas, the history of Darjeeling Tea dates back around 150 years when a civil surgeon,  Dr.Campbell  planted some tea seeds in his garden experimentally in a place called Beechwood in Darjeeling at an altitude of 7000ft. above sea level. Darjeeling Tea is mostly grown and processed in the Darjeeling or Kalimpong Districts in West Bengal. The unique flavor of Darjeeling comes from Chinese tea genetics mixing with Indian terroir—plus the intricacies of harvesting and processing. It’s lighter and less astringent than most black tea, but more layered and complex than most greens. Our Darjeeling Tea blend is created by bringing in Teas from the best gardens from this area which when brewed greets you a soft flowery scent and has a light golden appearance.
